People who are injured at their workplace in Essex County, Massachusetts may be entitled to compensation for their injuries. This is the reason behind workers’ compensation. It is also put into place to ensure that employees do not sue their employers for their injuries. The purpose of workers’ compensation is to establish a no-fault insurance system. However, this is not always the case; some employers and the companies who provide workers’ compensation insurance will try to deny the worker’s claim and get out of paying.

Four workers who were injured on the job recently may be entitled to workers’ compensation. The men, ranging in age from 26 to 47, suffered minor injuries as they were working with a crew to take down a stage after a Luke Bryan concert at Ohio State University recently. One of the men was employed by Live Nation, the other three were employees of Ohio State.

The accident occurred around 12:04 a.m. when a forklift bumped into the stage, causing part of it to collapse. The men fell with the stage and were hit by falling pieces of equipment. Those who were working at the scene said that the forklift was not the root cause of the accident, but that numerous errors had been made during the take down that led to instability in the stage.

Those workers injured in this accident may wish to speak with a lawyer to discuss their rights and ensure that they receive the proper amount of workers’ compensation to which they are entitled.
